Po's hit the big three right on the head - 1. Atmosphere: peaceful, comfortable. Not too upscale, not too casual. 2. Service: it was like our server, the hostess and the rest of the folks there knew us personally. All were very friendly and went out of their way to make our meal a pleasant one. 3. The Food: Sets the bar for Chinese/Asian food in the region. Absolutely delicious! Beautifully prepared entrees with wonderful flavors that are matched excellently with the side dishes they come with.
Very tasty food, pleasant atmosphere. Best of all super nice people. We came in after a funeral service just before they were closing. They were more than gracious to have our party of eight stay and dinning. These are people who care about what the do. If I lived anywhere near Po's they would be on my go back to restaurant list.
Some of the best Asian take-out I've had, but dont expect to have the leftovers typical of your average Chinese take-out place. This is more quality of quantity. Chicken dishes are far better than average, but pass on the wanton soup, very bland and a large comes with 6 smallish wantons. Staff was very polite and quick to correct any errors with your order.
A gem in the center of East Hampton. Wonderful selections for Chinese and Thai. Very unique specials that change often. The staff is unbelievable, and it's definitely worth eating-in. Comfortable, clean, GREAT music. Worth driving to even if you're a ways out ....
I just recently found out that we are within Po's delivery radius. I might just stop grocery shopping for dinner items and get delivery from them instead. It would be worth it!
