Adjoining the store is an enclosed great room/hall with a grill. The menu looked great, including breakfast. Walk outside and you're at the pool. The pool was very nice and there were plenty of loungers and cute tables with thatched umbrellas.
We were only there overnight, but we really enjoyed our stay and given the opportunity, we'd have stayed a few days. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this park!
Beautiful site, friendly people, all and all one of the best camp sites we've been to. You can tell the family takes pride in creating a special place that is well maintained and clean. We had a great time and hope to come back again. Thank you for the lovely weekend.

The property is beautiful. The whole place is shaded and there are amazing flower beds everywhere in the coolest containers! The office/store is too cute! We were able to get some flip flops for my granddaughter and some excellent conversation about the local activities and history.
The owner Melissa was so sweet and very accommodating to my group. We had a great time despite the water police and some non-social residents.
I think a memo should be sent out to all the residents of Markham: A smile goes a long way!!!
We had a blow out in a nearby town on a Sunday and it took hours to locate the proper size tire, so we were a bit late rolling in here with no reservation. The manager and other staff that live on the property could not have been nicer or more helpful! We were on our site and set up within 15 minutes.
We saw tenters having a wonderful time and the tent sites looked good.
This was a great place to camp. Almost like camping in someone's back yard. Staff was great. Watch out for fire pit grates.
I'm giving Markham Meadows 4 stars only because some of the regular resident aren't so friendly and also because of the water police. Let me explain the water police, so right in front of where the showers are located live resident that rent annually EVERYTIME I went to bathe or my family members went to shower, you hear comments and they would sit there and watch you go in and I'm guessing count the minutes your in the showers and when you came out give you stares. I never gave a complaint to the owner because I knew I would never return to that site again due to that experience and the bathrooms & showers need an upgrade.
There was also a pond with a fountain, free paddle boat and kayak use, and a slide into the water. The full-timers who lived around the pool and pond area had the cutest campers and yards! People seemed really happy here. We were greeted by many people and met a really nice veteran named Bill who we really enjoyed talking with. The owner drove by to make sure all was well. We were across from the playground so my granddaughter was thrilled and there were many other kids for her to play with.
It looked like there was a camper repair shop on the property but we never asked about it. All the buildings were decorated and maintained.
